Ouroboros by NevaSirenda Ouroboros by NevaSirenda
It's the Year of the Snake! Here, have an ouroboros. More entertaining than a mundane snake. You can imagine him as the Aztec Ouroboros, rolling off into the sunset after his prediction failed.

My original pattern, copyright me 2013. For personal use only, not for download, transmission, reproduction or sale.

Oh shoot, I snagged this last year and don't remember seeing the "don't snag this" line in your description and now I have started stitching it for a set of coasters I want to do for the house. I would have asked beforehand if I'd seen it. Is it ok for me to finish the stitchings? I am planning on making a set of 8 coasters and they will be for my use only. If it's not ok I will pick what I've done out and find something else small to stitch.

Again, I am so sorry.

No worries! The tag line does say "for personal use only" and what you're doing qualifies. That's what I make them for, for others to enjoy and stitch for themselves or for gifts. As long as you're not passing out printed copies to all and sundry, broadcasting it on the internet, selling the pattern or finished stitched pieces, or claiming it as your own design, you're fine. In fact, I'd like to see one when you're done!

Thank you! I think I found it posted by someone else on Pinterest when I did a google search for dragon patterns last year and, of course, didn't do any deeper digging than that which is why I didn't see your description. I found it this time because I did post a WIP on the Cross Stitching subreddit and someone asked for the pattern so they could copy my coaster idea. Of course, when I found the original I told her I couldn't post the link for her because I didn't want to go against you anymore than I was (I'll pm her the link to your deviant art so I'm not publicly broadcasting to everybody). LOL! I will post them in my gallery as I finish them and credit you for the pattern as I have done when I can on other pieces I've posted.

Thank you! I appreciate your honesty. If you could find the Pinterest link again and ask them to give me credit as well, that would be much appreciated also!

The link I found on Pinterest does have your link to it here in the caption/description/whatever you want to call it. That is how I found out you were the original artist. I just wasn't paying attention when I grabbed it before. I googled "free dragon cross stitch patterns" and just saved patterns I liked for when I got around to them and didn't give them any extra thought on it.

Anywho, I should be done with the red version of it in the next couple of days (I'm making a Roy G Biv coaster set with them) so as soon as I get it posted I'll be sure to tag you (if I can figure out how lol) or come back and give you the link to it so you can check it out!

Nice! I agree with ^~Canon-Kunoichi, you should do a Quetzalcoatl. So many colors!

I'll definitely think about that! Maybe I'll do him for Cinco de Mayo or something!

Nice design and a new critter is welcome. Next year of the snake, you'll need to do Quetzacotl (or however it's spelled). I'll bet he'd be colorful.
