Been wanting to do this for a while and it struck me that it would be a good theme for Valentine's Day. So here you go. This is from the Kushiel books by Jacqueline Carey; Phedre's Marque and Elua's Precept. I'm still slogging through the books off and on; she has such a lovely, lyrical voice but it's SO DAMN SLOW. But that's my fault; I get bored easily when there's not a lot of stuff going on or a good puzzle to solve in a book. As for the colors I used this sequence previously in a vampire-themed Halloween design I did for one of the calendars, and I liked it so much I wanted to revisit it in another context. I thought it was perfect for an anguisette.

****PATTERN CORRECTION**** Sorry for the misprint, the # symbol should be DMC 3021, NOT 3029 (cuz in fact there is no 3029...) Thanks to rodenajoy for catching that error!
